Gobert does presents a huge dilemma come post season for the Jazz
This team is built around him, especially defensively. Their whole concept on the perimeter is to take risks knowing that Gobert is behind you defending the drive to the basket and the rim.

And during the regular season against most teams that worked very well. The Jazz lack any really good one on one perimeter defenders and Gobert is a monster at making up for that. He earned DPOY for good reason.

But come playoff time against top teams he can be schemed out of the game far too easily. Force him to guard outside the box and he becomes a huge liability and everybody else becomes a huge liability as well without somebody guarding their backs.

Offensively it gets worse. He has zero big man game and no jump shot. He only scores on garbage points or through pick and roll with Conley. Even then, he doesn't always play like 7 footer.

During the playoffs you want the DPOY on the floor. The other 4 guys needs him as backup. Problem is he can be schemed out and offensively he's a never no mind. Which poison do you pick? When he's on the floor he ends up guarding the 3pt line and is ineffective. When's he out of the game the other team abuses the rim like no other.

I think I'm answering my question. Playoff Gobert is sort of useless against a team with a stretch 5.
