Found some more info on him. He is LDS. His dad is Cade McMullin who played for Ricks and then came to BYU...
in the early 00's where, according to his mom's posts on CB from almost 18 years ago, he ran into some eligibility issues during the Crowton regime. It sounded like the family blamed BYU/Crowton, Crowton blamed Cooper's dad, and it ended up with Cade deciding to hang it up and move on.
Happy that the family has seemed to move on from some sour grapes and that they are optimistic in their son heading to BYU.
