The pioneers were a bunch of lazy whiners who did nothing but complain.
Last summer I drove all the way from illinois to utah in under a week in my air conditioned SUV. My kids were super tough about the whole experience. They never complained that we only stayed in 3 star hotels and that we didn't always have the biggest pools to swim in at night. We usually only got them happy meals once a day and got the rest of our food at grocery stores, but they didn't complain. How did the pioneers let so many of their kid die??? Geez! My kid never came close to dying. Terrible Parenting!

When we got to the Platte river in Wyoming we jumped out and played in it for a while and had a blast. I can't believe someone could die from crossing that thing. Oh well good thing me and my kids are tougher than my weakling ancestors.
