Rationale for discontinuing the hockey program. I wonder if it would be worth a few emails from anyone to the AD or whomever to voice some displeasure and request reasoning for the decision.

This is only an issue because BYU is dropping affiliation, it’s not the reason.

Yes, for some. Teams that are officially extramurals are paid for by the school. Lax/Rugby/M Soccer/Raquetball

The extramural sports (hockey, rugby, lax, soccer) are not overseen by the AD.

BYU supports its club teams at a $ level no other College even comes close to.
