I'm a contrarian. For example, when so many claim BYU football is in a good

place, I expect a mediocre or losing season. Conversely, last year no one expected the season we had, and look what turned out. BTW, this attitude tends to work with how I think the relationship with my wife is going, or when I think about my worth to my employer.
