opened up and a man got out, followed by a big hairy blonde dog. As the dog jumped out, a few big furballs followed him out and floated in the air. Gross.
I went outside and asked the man if I could help him, he said "no, he just needs to relieve himself", pointing at the dog.
I stood there not sure what to say, as the dog found a favorite spot on my grass right near my business's front door. The man said he'd get a bag and make sure it was all cleaned up. As the man went back the truck to get the bag, the big dog squatted near the door and expelled something along the lines of death smelling pancake batter. I looked at the man and said "are you kidding me? You're not picking that up with a bag". The dog then waddled a few feet and did it again, dragging his leash through the first puddle.
Then the smell hit in earnest.
I was/am disgusted. As he tried to clean it up, I remembered the talk given yesterday about being nice to people. I couldn't help myself.... I asked him "I'm not really clear on this whole situation, your dog needed to take a dump, so you figure it's entirely appropriate to park here, let him out with the expectation that he's going to crap on my lawn, the lawn in front of my business door, then you'll pick it up and be on your way? Is that what you expected to happen?"
He just looked at me. I said "I own a dog, and wouldn't ever think that what has happened here is appropriate, even if the crap was well formed and easy to pick up"
To his credit, he did his best, but the front of my business reeks and there's a brown patch of goo still emanating hate.
Mods, if you can think of a better category for this, feel free.
