So as soon as it’s thru the net it stops? If so, then it makes me wonder why
Other times the clock keeps running after a made shot, I swear I’ve seen a second or two run off….

Can somebody explain why only .2 expired on the dunk? What’s the rule?

Clock starts when the ball is first touched in bounds, and stops when the ball has gone through the hoop.

The refs said they timed it from when Ayton touched to when it cleared the net

So then there can be a basketball tip in play with .2 left on the clock….

I think if it’s .3 or less, it has to be a tip type play. No catch and shoot

Dave Burns (Suns announcer) noted NBA rules require at least .3 to be run off so
