Corn Pop All-American
(Spoilers) Haven’t seen Widow yet so can’t compare, but
Tomorrow was an excellent idea that was executed at a C, maybe B level.

One thing I hate is don’t introduce the villain to me as being capable of singlehandedly taking out an entire squadron of trained and hardened fighters, and then in the next scene a house wife is taking one down all by herself, plus the semi-trained and unserious hero is able to take on several at once.

That pet peeve out of the way, here goes:

First, name one character that died that you cared about. You can’t. Even if they’d done a half decent job of emotionally connecting you to the adult daughter, you already knew that her death was being erased once her dad went back in time and changed the future. They spent so much time CGI-ing action scenes that they forgot to do any character development.

Second, name one element that wasn’t cliché or predictable. Even my wife predicted the volcano thing.

Third, sure, let’s leave the entire fate of the world to a half dozen people with small arms when a single MOAB would have done the trick. But, being the predictable movie it was you didn’t fear that they would fail.

Fourth, don’t introduce a plot line as if it means something and then never come back to it. “Have you noticed you can’t time jump to a time where you’re still alive? Yeah, I was noticing that, too. Wonder what it means and if it has any significance at all to the storyline.” Guess not cause it was never mentioned again.

Anyway, enjoyable enough for a home movie, but not one I’m gonna tell people they’ve got to see.
