I think I know what Pop's doing. He's intentionally throwing these games so

he can hand over head coaching duties to Becky Hammon. It's like a made-for-tv movie where she takes over at the brink of disaster, rights the ship and they win the gold.

Then some NBA team will look at what she did and hire her as head coach and he can take credit.
