Mind you that ER doc is probably just some employed chump of Team Health and has no input on insurance contracts as he’s taking home his hourly wage that is slightly more than NP Bob…. or if he/she was part of a small independent group that was racked over the coals by the insurance company so left without no other recourse if they wanted to actually get paid anything.

The computer does tell you that. It says “out of network” on the patient’s chart.
