at the physician group he was employed/contracted with and my insurance company. I know the doctor had nothing to do with the situation. Our interactions with the physician group were horrible. They had absolutely no sympathy for us in the situation, and had the audacity to tell me that I should've checked and made sure that the ER doctor was in-network with my insurance before I brought my wife in, as if I would be able to know who was working the ER that day.
Cigna were flat out jerks as well. They were disrespectful to me and the physician group, and told me more than once that they were going to escalate the situation and make sure they handled it with the physician group, without actually doing anything. It sucked the whole way around, and at no time did I ever get a clear explanation or an ounce of sympathy from either side for our difficulties.
