Most people assumed that because of the uneven gravitational fields of the moon, it’s orbit would have become so eccentric that it would have crashed long ago. But some hobbyist just did detailed calculations and found that based on all of the parameters that we know about it’s lunar orbit, it probably never impacted the surface. So unless something else destroyed it in the past 50 years, it likely still up there.
