Thaw. Bad idea? My HCBW doesn’t seem worried. It’s still pretty cold to the touch and it’s been sealed the whole time.

9.5 pounds. It’s in the smoker now.

You are fine. Most meats should be brought up to room temp prior to cooking.

You can actually thaw on the smoker if you want fyi. Just adds time to the cook.
