It felt like seeing an old friend after a long while when he took the stage. Took me back to being a teenager again, even if just for a brief moment.

In his encore he came back out on stage, all alone with just his guitar. People held up signs they had made with the title of different songs on them. He picked out 4 or 5 different songs from the signs and played them and sang. Just him. I think he called it “house cleaning.” It’s something he does at all of his shows.

It showed how truly talented he is. It was my favorite part of the night.

He said tonight that this show sold out quicker than any other of his shows ever has. Because of that he is going to come back to Salt Lake again before the tour ends.
