Half carpet half laminate flooring. Seems pricey but maybe it’s fair? It’s about 80% of our house. We got a quote from Empire Flooring.

Maybe Home Depot is cheaper. But they claim to be high quality.

We paid about $10k for carpet and laminate for maybe 1800 sq ft

We did carpet with Home Depot and no problems. Sorry you had a bad outcome.

I’d say $3+ per square foot just for install labor. So depends on tile.

Depends on if you want the cabinets on top of the tile or not. Ours are not.

I didn't remove the cabinets, made sure the tile was up to the under part of the toe guard & sealed off with the grout.
