Dread Pirate Westley Intervention Needed
BYU was awarded a championship. The combination of going undefeated and the
system in place at that time were what put BYU in the situation to be awarded the championship.

In fact, BYU deserves a lot of credit for being the catalyst to move to the BCS system and now the mini-tournament was have today. The power schools of the NCAA football world did not want another BYU championship, so they built a system to make it almost impossible for that to happen again.

What Utah did was very impressive - kudos to them. The BCS folks hate seeing schools from outside the club make a splash so much that in 2010 they had BSU and TCU play in the Fiesta Bowl - both were undefeated conference champs. (At least I think TCU was undefeated). The last thing they wanted was both of those teams beating up on the so-called power schools.

Sorry for the rant. Congrats on the championship, but remember it was awarded by judges like gymnastics or diving.
