I didn't say it did. But the fact is that BSU and Utah did every bit as much as

BYU to be awarded the championship. We just weren't lucky enough to have a perfect storm among the other teams that year.

So kudos on your championship. You should be proud. As a BSU fan, I'm proud of our 1-AA national championship in 1980. That team won it on the field, so there's no debate about who the true champion was that year.
