To the fly fishing guys, I completed the Utah cut slam today. Finally got the
Yellowstone cut! Boy I was beginning to believe I had a better chance finding gold in the water that getting the Yellowstone cutty!
It felt like winning the lottery when I finally landed it! Crazy how that little 5-6” cut felt as exciting as landing a 20-22” trout. In some ways even more exciting, because it takes a lot more work.
It was so rewarding to finally get that Yellowstone cutty in that north west Utah mountain range today. I can see why so many people give up on it.
It took me two trips out there! Had a much better game plan this time, but still lost the set on like 3 before finally getting one about 3 hours into it.
