Land cruiser, I could have bought a new 4.0L long block for my disco. Then you have the "Toyota Tax" (no depreciation) on top of that and the actual capital overlay over those 300k miles make it even more expensive. While a Chevy small block V8 is darn near equally as reliable, especially the 6.0 iron block.
I'm not sure if my next rig will be a Toyota. It's been an extremely expensive eye-opening experience.
And they are horrible to work on, the absolute worst to stick a wrench on, the soft steel, tight spaces, and their propensity to rust frames is a nightmare combination.
Toyota has many pros, but they do have cons and they aren't an infallible company.
