BYU as a whole is the most inflexible institution I’ve ever interacted with

When it came to any issues no matter how reasonable, the immediate response was always a no. They understand the demand to be there and know that if you can’t make it work according to their policies, there are 20 kids behind you waiting to take your spot.

Other universities operate more like businesses where they try to court and work with you at least a little. It’s pretty unreal sometimes, and BYU admissions is the most notorious.
