but what I am saying is that what is being asked in terms of exception is not unreasonable, and is something I believe BYU should be able to handle. In essence, you are saying that they WOULD in fact have made that exception, had we called in the Fall instead of the Winter. If they could do it then, why not now? An inability to make even the smallest exception to accommodate the unique circumstances of mission eligibility/deferral is not defensible in my opinion. No other school would make such an exception some say, but no other students deal with the issues a typical member/BYU student deals with. BYU is unique, and not having means to deal with the unique intricacies of its student demographic is a big fail IMO.
