Yeah, I own two of the most dependable models
Each with full dealer service histories since day 1.

GX470, which you know full well is a Land Cruiser Prado/4th gen 4Runner.

And LX470, which is a 100 series Land Cruiser.

The GX is by far the most economical, but the Land Cruiser is G-wagon parts cost and reliability does not match expectations. And it's not just me either.

What IS nice about Toyotas, and why I have mine, is that pending failures give you ample warning so you have time to get off the trail before a failure and can repair in your garage. That IS very important to me. But in the case of the GX, reliability is above average, but not any better than a Wrangler, and the LX is below average, despite it's 20-year build spec oft bragged about.

Still, the LX is one of my favorite rigs.

This is all compared to two jeeps, two rovers, one hummer, and a couple GM products, all about the same age and mileage, and all abused on the trail.

The only difference between Land Rover fanboys and Toyota fanboys is Rover fans are honest about maintenance costs.
