2FarGone No One of Consequence
In an OU and/or Texas exodus, the Big 12 would expand by 2-6 teams (not contract or go away)
1. What other P5s would look at the new Big 12 and realize that with Texas and Oklahoma out of the picture they could have a much easier path to Playoff? Yes, I think about 4-6 current P5s would love to switch to a Texas-less and OU-less Big 12.
a) Nebraska's entire reason for leaving the Big 12 was Texas and, despite what CBers think, they do not like the B1G. In a Big 12 minus UT and OU, Nebraska could be big again.
b) If Nebraska goes back, Colorado might as well.
c) Arizona and Arizona State really like their California ties, but they could go to the Playoff in the new Big 12. Would that be enough?

Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12 will force a major shift in College Football that any one of dozens of possible scenarios could take place. The most likely, I think, are the above with P5s shifting conferences to improve Playoff hopes. But, I think there are more than a couple scenarios that would land BYU in a P5 conference when it all shakes out.
