Houston is the closest major city to College Station, and major fan interests in Houston seem to be split pretty well between aTm and LSU. This isn't a whole lot different than KSL or a SLTrib writer breaking a story about BYU - especially given the fact that the guy who broke the story was the aTm beatwriter for the Houston Chronicle.

There are a lot of possibilities, but I wouldn't see this as smoke for a Houston Big XII invite - and if the Big XII does expand, I think BYU, Cincinnati and Memphis are significantly more likely and that UCF, CSU and perhaps Boise (too far?) or UNLV (too sucky?) are at least as likely as Houston.
