I am in a very enviable (but also annoying) position of having two really great
job offers to choose between. The salaries, benefits, culture, growth opportunity, etc. are very similar for both opportunities. Both companies are offering me decent equity in the firms and I believe both have the potential to be worth a lot of money some day. I'd be employee number 15 or 16 at these companies, respectively. So I'd essentially be getting in at the ground floor.

I've spoken with many family members and friends and the consensus is one big shrug. One company expects a response from me by the end of day tomorrow. I'm about to go to bed and I may as well be picking from a hat at this point. What's funny is that no matter what I choose, I will have moments of gratitude along with moments of regret because that's life. But I also imagine getting wind of the company I don't choose making an IPO with a massive valuation, realizing I could've become a millionaire overnight.
