I’m not sure why you picked that timeframe but I’d say 2010 or maybe just the the playoff era era is much more relevant. That is when the money disparity between conferences started to appear.

I don’t know if there would be any difference in your stats but I think the college football landscape aka money disparity among conferences/teams has a lot to do with success and has only come about in the last 10-15 years.
