There's less money for them in the new Big 12. ASU has some baggage to sort out.
In the meantime, Utah has a reasonable path to the CCG right now. Much more than almost any other lower.mid-tier school in any other conference.
Especially if USC continues its struggles every other year in Utah.
I don't think the P12 does anything but I do think the Big 12 adds BYU, Boise and a few other marquee AAC programs.
