Does that assume the first grouping has CFP access?
I assume the CFP access and relevant money is the real driver here? I'm admittedly not following it closely and just trying to understand how traveling to Manhattan, KS every other year is a better option that Indy.

Would Indy die on a vine with fewer and fewer teams willing to schedule BYU? At least under Indy, BYU has largely been able to switch up the opponents, go where BYU supporters/alumni live regionally and get the vast majority of their games on readily accessible channels.

If this is because anyone left out of a superconference would not see any ounce of access and that 'arms race' is to great to do as an independent, I get it then.
