Musings from the Houston Cougars fan site:
Few highlights:

- Rumors of TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech chatting with or going to chat with the Pac12.

- Some are believers that the Big12 WILL survive. This based on getting 50+ million from Texas and Oklahoma upon leaving. That kind of cash can keep people in place.

- Following belief Big12 lives on, they invite some form of BYU, UCF, Cincy, Houston, Memphis, SMU in that order of preference.

- TCU would block SMU from getting an invite potentially, conflict of market.

- BYU mentioned in almost every thread of Big12 expansion assuming it doesn't die.

- Believers that the Big12 will die, and AAC will pick up a few Big12 leftovers.

- Some interesting takes on the Big12 takings BYU, Cinci, Houston, Memphis, UCF etc, and that a group like that paired with Kansas, Tech, Baylor etc - The Big12 would be the best basketball conference in America. Honestly this is probably true. That conference gets in 5 or more teams every March. And when the dust settles, 5 years down the road I think the Football is as good as Pac12 or ACC. Not as good as the SEC of course or the Big10. But this scenario might be the best realistic case for BYU.
