My old next door neighbor in Dallas and one of my best friends is an Aggie fan.
Grew up in Bryan in the shadows of Texas A&M. Was a walk-on wide receiver.
As neighbors we never talked much about the rivalry probably because Texas and ATM weren’t in the same conference anymore when we moved next to each other. No need to smack talk. We would kind of be encouraging when we talked about each other’s teams.
Just got a text from him tonight. Rivalry is on. He is pissed! A few f-bombs which he never does. Southern Baptist. Hardly ever swears or drinks.
My text back to him:
