I once worked with a tower building company.

They told me that the time to get approval in Texas for a new tower was like 2-4 weeks. Time to get a new tower approved in California was like 2-3 years. This was before hurricane katrina, but no one wants a cell tower in their backyard but expects perfect service in all places.

I have T-mobile and my service is great in that neighborhood but gets worse as I drive south toward the AF costco
