BYU-I is as big (enrollment wise) as many other FBS programs, and in the next few years, many conferences in the mountain west region might be looking for teams.

BYU-I could put some games on BYUTV once in a while, making them very valuable to smaller conferences.

Having sports at BYU-I would be part of making it feel like a full fledged university experience. And there are LOTS of LDS athletes to immediately start populating the teams.
