judged in my mind.
If my untrained eye leads to me scratching my head, it just lessens the entertainment value. In a race, I know who won. It's instant gratification.
You don't hear boos at the end of races. Everybody knows exactly who won.
When Roy Jones Jr can absolutely pummel his opponent, and when they announce the winner his opponent apologizes in the ring, that's a problem.
Everybody on the planet knew who won that boxing match, to include the judges who had been bribed and gave it to his opponent.
After reading Jones opponent's life story following that tainted gold medal, I actually feel sorrier for him then I do for Jones.
His own federation made him a national disgrace, even though he actually was competing with a broken hand. He should have been a hero, except his own federation turned him into an infamous villain. He was not.
So no, I don't really care for sports that require judging. The best competitor should win every time when they have the best performance. Too often in judged events that does not happen.
