Skinner was protected from Nassar because she always had a chaperone, but still has described the anxiety of going to the Karolyi ranch for training. It would make sense that the Olympics might bring back memories of former trauma, essentially triggering PTSD.

Also, Biles has said that having her adoptive parents in the stand supporting her has always been a huge support, and now due to COVID, she is there alone, without her support system.

We don't know the pain and heartache that fills another person. We sure as yewt shouldn't be judging people for what we don't understand.
