How big can the talent gap actually get?
Now with NIL in full force we will obviously see players from the big schools (Bama, Clemson, Ohio St) get some serious NIL money and continue to be a big draw for recruits.
So those schools get the best recruits... nothing different than what we experience now. Just because a player is making more money does not translate to better performance on the field

Regardless of how powerful they are and how much money the big schools can offer top talent, they can only fill so many scholarship spots thus not really making the best schools any better than they are now. Scholarship limits will keep talent spread out among the schools. So the money gap will widen, but i don't see how the competition gap opens as much as the money gap because of limited spots.....

UNLESS players stop caring about scholarships. What if a team can stuff their rosters with a bunch of PWO 5star recruits that are there just for the NIL money, and don't care about a scholly. All it would take is 5 or so extra blue chips on a team to really make a difference on the field. Then the BYU's of the world will be screwed.

-Is the NCAA the organization that imposes the Scholly limits? This seems like a big deal to keep the competition gap closer.
