I would imagine in most scenarios, The remainders of the Big 12 matched up with the best of the AAC and BYU are in a much better TV $$$ negotiating position, and conference status than teams that could be facing being incorporated into a large 16 team AAC with Tulane, etc splitting revenues.

In fact, the notion that the Big 12 should not expand immediately truly escapes me.
