If B12 dissolves then ESPN will save a bunch of money by not having to payout current contracts. Quickest way for them to dissolve is for another conference to agree to absorb them. Bowlsby said ESPN is offering AAC a pay bump to absorb at least some remaining teams. They can pay less for those teams in the AAC than they would if the remaining Big12 survived and added more teams.
