fight with ESPN (and OU and UT) is resolved. The Big 12 is reportedly entitled to a little over $1 billion in TV revenue over the next 4 years.
I think there are no longer provisions in the contracts (after the 2016 fiasco) that allow the Big 12 to add more members under the same contracts. So, if any new members are added, I think they would need to renegotiate the contracts. And they don't want to do that, because any renegotiation is going to result in AAC-level money.
So, until this gets resolved, I don't see them risking any of their legal positions under the TV contracts.
