Mediocre coaching hire has kept Texas down for 10 years now. But if you look at their recruiting classes, they’re still pulling Top 10 recruiting in most years. They have the talent but they need a coach/system to get them back to prominence.

I don’t think SEC does anything for Texas except give them more money. But there may be something even bigger on the horizon if the SEC becomes a a semi-pro independent league.
