The Scarlett Johannsson legal spat with Disney brings up a good point about the
future of movies and whether they'll be released directly to streaming at the same time they go in theaters. Hollywood has been able to make a number of movies over the years because actors and actresses were willing to accept payment as a percentage of gross box office receipts (or some variation on that theme). If you stream the movie immediately, it will cut into the box office take and lower the salaries. Stars will demand a cut out of the streaming revenue. Determining how to quantify the cut will be a major issue.
