After contacting the Homewood Suites we stayed at prior to our OBX visit and getting dismissed, disrespected and hung up on, I emailed the GM. After waiting 3 days and getting no reply, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do what I've seen you young people do... tweet at Hilton my dismay.
Within 24 hours the Homewood Suites called me, apologized for the behavior of their staff member and gave me a full refund that hit my CC while we were still on the phone.
Maybe Twitter is ruining society, but it works for me.
