I stopped flying United 30 years ago due to chronic horrendous service. I
switched to American and have been satisfied. But, I was flying mainly out of San Jose which is an American hub. I occasionally fly Delta and Alaskan. They seem similar to me as American.
United is the only airline I will not fly. SW, Allegiant, Frontier, Spirit will all get my business before United.

Unbelievable. American Airlines just canceled my wife + four kids (ages 11yrs-18mos) connecting flight out of DFW.
