Solid post on Iowa State fan board “Cyclone Fanatic” with data showing that BYU
is far and away the best choice for Big 12 expansion:

BYU is clearly the best candidate for Big 12 expansion and it isn’t really close. Arguably, they have a bigger following than any of the remaining Big 12 schools. They have to be a part of any potential Big 12 expansion.”
One glaring point that the poster illustrates well is that Cincy, UCF, Memphis, USF, SDSU, Houston all have stadium attendance numbers in the 30 thousand range. BYU averages more attendance than any team currently left in the Big 12.
Put BYU in the Big 12 and we have an uptick in attendance… there is no doubt and would be head and shoulders above any Big12 member.
