I managed to get a ticket through a Twitter friend at the last second. I happened to be driving through and decided to go yesterday.

I parked in Mandalay Bay and it was cheap and easy. Sounds like on gamedays they are shutting down the bridge over to the stadium. The walk over was fun.

It was a road game. I’d guess 85-90 Mexico and the place was loud. Inside the stadium is really nice but they have some massive kinks to work out. It felt like the opening night of a play. Really good in most parts but there a few things the director will be screaming about in the morning.

The security check-in was super slow. It was also crowded and roasting hot. People got frustrated quickly.
Once you got through that, you hit massive mob queues to go up the small elevator and that’s the only way to go up to the upper levels. Bit of a disaster, so watch out if you’re going in Sept.

Mexico had more chances, but we had a few that we missed.

Anyway the rest of the night has been a lot like walking out of Utah’s stadium in 2000 where you just started talking and laughing with anyone you ran into in your colors the rest of the night.
