don't involve merging or scheduling agreements (although the latter is at least possible). I would hope that the commissioner of my conference is talking with as many other commissioners (and other influential people) as possible in order to figure out where everyone else stands in the current landscape and trying to figure out where you can work together to benefit the conference that commissioner represents.
