I know I want to argue with this, but I don't know if I should go down the a) thanks for the everybody gets a medal
bull crap boomers path, or b) everyone getting a medal isn't what got these elite athletes to within fractions of a second behind the world champions path.
Everyone getting a medal isn't a societal issue. There is plenty of competition out there for everyone if they want it. The bigger issue IMO is that kids don't want to participate in sports as much anymore.

A lot of it is also other countries are better able to send their youngest, best, & brightest to America for college and
