1. I've been to Vegas a number of times over the years. I don't really consider myself a prude. But the strip seemed trashier than in previous visits. Maybe it was the holiday weekend. But after a whole weekend of tourists with their trashy clothing and giant daquiris, I'm ready to be done. And that was just the BYU fans.
2. Ironically the thing that bugged me on the strip the most were the street preachers. So freaking loud and annoying. The whole time they are yelling at me, I'm thinking in my head that maybe we could talk about 1 Kings 19:11-12. Discretion prevailed and I kept walking.
3. The stadium was nice, but I'm dumbfounded that there is no reasonable way to get people to or from the stadium. That seems like some pretty poor planning. Having tens of thousands of people cram on to the bridge as they trek back across the freeway towards Mandalay Bay seems like a recipe for disaster. No big deal when it was just a bunch of cheery BYU fans. But after a Raiders loss, it seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
