I know it's been said before, but it bears repeating. A conference made up of mostly (all?) Jesuit schools let the Mormons in when they had nowhere to go for basketball or most olympic sports. We came in assuming we'd waltz into 1st place in basketball and never won the conference. We may have been a bit big for our shorts, but the league was gracious to us. I think we added value, with BYUtv broadcasting the entire mens' and womens' basketball tourneys and lots of other sports events. Though I hated losing to St. Mary's, I always had to respect the 'Zags. May the WCC continue to be a multi-bid league, and I, for one, will always be grateful.
