USC always wants someone who will come in and make an impact on day 1

Neither Coach Sitake or Coach Whittingham will make an impact day 1. That isn't their style. They take a few years and maintain consistency. A guy like Urban Meyer (or even Bronco Mendenhall) are the types that go in and turn things around very quickly but they reach their ceiling pretty much right off the bat.

USC would be well served to have some patience and hire a long ball coach, but they won't.
