behavior IS the right thing to do and doesn't have to lead to cancel culture. Things like Jell-o shots in sacrament cups, blow-up dolls, a fan tackling a cheerleader, etc. should DEFINITELY be called out. People need to know when lines are crossed. In cases such as those, as in this one, keeping silent is the WRONG thing to do. It allows such behavior to continue and propagate. Calling a spade a spade or letting people know that the emperor has no clothes is important for civilized society.
Calling it out in the way that CB did, by good-naturedly donating to MAW is EXACTLY the right way to do it.
There are plenty of threads celebrating the win and the invitation to the B12. There's nothing wrong with threads that call out bad behavior and then develop and implement the perfect type of response to it.
